Nordic Tyre Group acquires Dinamic92 in Romania

Nordic Tyre, are making their first move into Romania with this acquisition of Dinamic 92 Distribution SRL The group built its position as a wholesaler across the Nordic and Baltic regions, supplying tyres to retailers, fitting centres and workshops rather than selling directly to end consumers. Buying an established local distributor gives Nordic an immediate operating base, existing supplier relationships and a customer network in a market it had not previously served.

The deal fits a broader pattern of consolidation in European tyre distribution, where wholesalers have expanded across borders to gain scale in purchasing and logistics. Larger distribution groups can negotiate better terms with manufacturers, spread warehousing and transport costs over higher volumes, and offer retailers a wider range of brands. By acquiring the leading independent player rather than a smaller operator, Nordic Tyre gains scale in the Romanian channel from day one.

The transaction also points to continued interest from Northern European operators in South-Eastern European markets, where independent distributors have often remained locally owned. Whether Nordic Tyre uses Dinamic 92 as a platform for further expansion in the region or integrates it into a wider cross-border network, will determine how much the deal reshapes tire distribution in Romania.
